The greenhouse is still an idea. It would be our first experiment in growing food past a small raised garden bed.
Greenhouses require monitoring and reacting to temperature, humidity, and soil. I think that some of the monitoring work could be managed with sensors and small controls. The LoRa field network ↗ could carry temperature, soil, water, and battery readings beyond Wi-Fi, while the Ansible Homelab ↗ could store those readings, monitor the system, and let us know when something needs attention.
A low-power e-ink display could show readings at the greenhouse. The planned root cellar would give us somewhere to store what we grow.
