Privacy & cookies
Rockroot does not sell personal information. Visits are measured with self-hosted, cookie-free analytics. Posting a comment requires an account.
Analytics
A self-hosted Umami analytics service ↗ measures page visits and outbound-link clicks. It records anonymous usage details: the page and referrer, browser, operating system, device type, approximate country, and the destination of a clicked external link.
Umami does not use cookies, collect personal information, or track visitors across websites. The analytics data stays on Rockroot’s own service.
Comments
Experiment pages use the self-hosted Waline commenting system ↗. An account is required to publish a comment. Waline may store the account information you provide, your comment, IP address, browser User-Agent, and related service information to operate and protect the comment service.
See Waline’s privacy information ↗ for more detail.
If you email Rockroot, your message and email address are used only to read and reply to your request.
Embedded services and links
Some pages link to or embed services such as YouTube. Those services operate under their own privacy policies and may collect information when you use their content.
If advertising is added
Rockroot and other projects on *.rockrootstudio.com may use an ad platform in the future. Advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or similar identifiers to show and measure ads, including ads based on a visitor’s prior visits to this and other websites. The intent is to keep any advertising small and avoid disrupting reading.
Before enabling advertising, this page would be updated to name the partners and explain how to opt out. Where consent is required, Rockroot would first present a consent choice and a visible Privacy and cookie settings link to change it.
